Ake Ake

Kia ora, we are Tracey Woolley and Fina Hallman and are nga kaiako, teachers - in these two classrooms. We operate as one large teaching space and children can learn in either room or with either teacher. We love working in partnership with the whole family and believe that we need to work closely together to have successful learning for your tamariki.

“Nurture the seed and it will blossom”

Tena koutou katoa,

A big warm, welcome to 2017. We are both so excited to be partners in your child's learning. We truly believe in the above whakatauki and know that working in partnership with whanau, each and every child can blossom.

Learning starts right from birth, and whanau are the first and most important teachers for each child. We aim to build on what has gone before at home and at kindy, to develop a love for learning that continues for a lifetime. Each child is unique and we see it as our job to allow individual talents, and interests to shine through.

Five year olds learn through hands on experiences and talk. In Kakano we utilise this to maximise learning for everybody. Our learning space is a hive of activitiy and chat. Tamariki are encouraged to be independent learners and pursue interests and share their learning with all.

We look forward to getting to know you and your tamariki, to begin to know more about us check out our mihis under the people tab.

Arohanui, Tracey and Fina xx
